Do you like my style, but can't find exactly what you are looking for? Do you have an idea or reference photo you'd like me to work from? Perhaps you love one of my paintings, but you need it in a different size or the original is long gone. Though I never paint exactly the same piece twice, I will create a similar piece of art to suit your needs.
Some of my most requested commission work is for whimsical portraits. I can create a custom painting to represent someone you love...perhaps your children, sisters or friends. They make great gifts for brides and expectant mothers too! These sweet portraits are a one-of-a-kind gift that will be treasured for a lifetime. All you need to do is email me photographs and I will create a personalized portrait that mimics hair style/color, eye color, etc, as well as your choice of background in my whimsical style. I can also collage treasured photos, letters, fabric or other items with personal meaning within the painting. Shown here are a few examples of some of my previous commission work.
The price of a commissioned painting varies, depending on size and complexity, but you can get a general idea of my price range by checking out the custom options section in my online shop.
I require a 50% deposit to begin your painting, with the balance due upon completion. It generally takes approximately 4 weeks to complete (plus shipping time), but depends on my current waiting list. I'll advise you of the expected completion date at the time of our commission agreement. Certain times of the year (especially coming up to Christmas) are very busy, so if your request is time sensitive, I recommend planning well ahead. If your commission is time sensitive, let me know and I'll do my best to fit it in if possible.
